Repeat Pattern

My Repeat Heading!

This is  my repeat pattern that I made to go on the ceiling of my graphic design room. My graphic design teacher , Mrs. Lofquist, calls our room the ISS room because there isn't very much color and it is very boring to just look at. So we have took on the task to make the room more  vibrant and exciting!
The patterns that we make are going onto the ceiling tiles. They will be printed onto some sturdy paper then placed under the tiles to add an interesting factor. to the room.

Orthogonal Cube

In illustrator we made orthogonal cubes. We watched a tutorial on Lynda.com to figure out how to make all of the sides equal. We had to copy and paste the three main lines and copied them several times to finish off the cube. Then we added color to the cube to give it depth/perception. The darker colors make it look farther behind and the lighter shades make it come forward. Then i rounded the edges of the cube so that way it did not have weird tails that lost the flow of the eye making it look 3D.  This was a challenge for me because there was so many steps to do to make it look accurate. However the end result was with it, because it looked really awesome and it's cool to say that I made this from scratch.

Senior Project Final

I have finally finished my magazine. 1 front cover, 3 articles, 3 visuals, and 1 back cover. I did it. I am super proud of myself for all that I accomplished. I finally made something that represents not only my creativity, but also what I believe in. This project has also given me the confidence to know that I can start something from the sketches all the way to the final file, and have every single word and design come from me. I am so thankful that I trusted my gut and chose this as my final project. But most of all, I am glad that I learned that it is okay to use your experiences to influence your creative work.

Senior Project Week 3

This week I was really productive. I got a lot of things accomplished that started piecing my final product together. I finished one article titled "Screens", so now I only have one more big article to write, but I would like to design some fun graphics to spice up the information a little. Along with getting on article completed I was able to finish the cover and the first two pages of my magazine. I am super excited for all the knowledge I am learning about writing, and InDesign. By the end of this week I hope to have selected and started my last article topic, and put together a few more pages that include some graphics and "Screens". Next week is the final week and I am very pleased with where I am right now I just need to keep reaching my goals!
